This place is in the middle of no where but it is amazing good home cooking. You feel like you are driving into the middle of a field then all of sudden a little building comes into view and it is surrounded by a cars. worth the wait though I wouldn't drive from downtown just to eat here. My friends live in Spring, TX (north of DT) and we occasionally drive over to Mel's. Just as an FYI Mel is a woman!
