I've become a fan of Utopia Tours. Though I've never taken an organized tour run by Utopia, I've used Utopia 3 times in the past year for gay guides -- for Hong Kong, Beijing anjd Shanghai.

I wanted the guides to introduce me to the gay scenes in the cities as well as to take me to typical tourist destinations. In all 3 cities, the guides were terrific; their English was good, they were personable; they were knowledgeable; they were flexible. Utopia added a very important dimension to my visits to those cities. For the gay tour aspect, they told me about -- and took me to -- gay bars and saunas and discussed in great and informative detail the gay scene. And the price was very reasonable.

I should stress, though it's probably unnecessary, that these guides were guides; they were not escorts. There was no intimacy or sex or even much flirtation with the guides, but they did tell me where I could find all of that safely.

In sum, I've had great experiences with Utopia.
