I was actually told the same thing about the coffee by the service express guy at the Westin Westminster last week -- though when the room was actually made up the chambermaid replenished it. So he may just have been confused between one coffee per stay and one per night.

Seems like a stupid policy since it would give an additional incentive (beyond the 500 point ammenity and the extra stay credit) to keep swapping between hotels. It's not like there isn't another Westin and the St Regis there in DC.
