This is a classic hotel in a great location, but the most frequent description is indeed 'tired'. Perhaps broken windows theory can explain more and more frequent dissatisfaction with service and attitudes at the hotel as well.

Hopefully you'll drop a note to hotel customer service, and others will too, and eventually someone will get the message that a bit of money needs to be dropped into this property.
