I saw the banner on a receipt a few weeks back, Mrs PG though was refused a £40 transaction by staff in their Watford store last weekend, as both an assistant and manager said " we don't and never will take Amex..."

Despite protests they wouldn't even try it in the machine.

I do try and avoid Boots at all costs, it's an awful store in Watford, things are never in the same place from one week to the next and the customers are a major inconvenience to the staff.
