2 points = 1 asiamiles
but now you can pay some service charge and earn 8 times points for all spent.
I did some calculation. You can earn one Asiamile for 0.23 USD spent with their credic card.
really a great bargain.

furthermore, points can be transferred between different names accounts. And Chinatrust made a public announcement that points are ok for auction like cash and coupons.

In other ways, you can buy chinatrust points and then transferred them into Asiamiles account in legal ways without any surcharge. But you must have Chinatrust credic card.
