Hotel Crillon and Groupe Taittinger sold....

Groupe Taittinger which owns, through the Societe du Louvre, the Hotel de Crillon and Hotel Lutetia in Paris and the Hotel Martinez in Cannes is expected to be sold to Starwood Capital for about 1.2 Billion Euros.

The Groupe Taittinger is also most famously known for its Champagne House; it also controls the crystal company Baccarat.

Interesting to see if the Hotel de Crillon and the Martinez may become Luxury Collection hotels?

I guess the Crillon's distinction as the only "palace" hotel in Paris still owned by the French is about to go out the window.......
