Had a HP DeskJet 300 (or maybe 310) before that - had lots of problems with paper handling.
The i80 is just a little bit lighter than the HP, but not by much.
The cartridges are small so you can carry a whole bunch. I carry two boxes one of color and other of bw.
Love the i80. I have used it to print photos on it. Very good quality. I have thought about getting a smaller printer but the quality of print is not that great and they are not as flexible as far as needs go. The canon i80 is a bit bigger but it goes in my roll on and it gives all kinds of different options for printing.
