I've been thinking about getting one of those thermal printers -- I think they're made by Pentax. I like the idea of avoiding those expensive little tiny cartridges in other travel printers. I envision being in a hotel somewhere and running out of ink around 9 pm while trying to print out the next day's agenda, and crankily scrambling around to see if there's a Best Buy or something open where I can shell out $60 for another little tiny ink cartridge.
The downside to the Pentax printer, I guess, is having to carry a supply of thermal paper around with you all the time. And if you run out while on the road, it's not as easy to find as regular paper.
Anyone have any experience with the Pentax?
Sigh ... I still miss an old HP (300?) I had. Looked like a brick, weighed about as much as a brick, and was as sturdy as a brick. It just couldn't make the driver jump to Windows XP.
