Have you been to both of them? In my experience, for some inexplicable reason, the standard of catering in the intra-Schengen lounge is higher than the extra-schengen one. You still won't find proper food, but you're likely to stumble upon small crostini or something. Crossing from one area to the other only takes 2-3 minutes.
Personally, I don't think I've been to any extraordinarily remarkable lounges (certainly not any F/HON ones).
Among the better experiences were in the OK one in PRG, the AENA contract lounge in MAD (delicious full-size sandwiches!) and the AZ (!!!) one @ FCO extra-Schengen.
The DEL contract lounge used by most airlines (including BA) is indeed the pits, I normally prefer the main terminal to it. OTOH the one used by LH, KL and AF appears to be a bit better, but as a contract lounge cannot be entered with a *A or ST card unless you 're flying one of the three airlines that use it.
I also hate Servisair lounges, not because they're inherently bad places (they've got a distinctively indifferent feel) but because you have to pay for using their PC. If I was really fond of the PAYG system I wouldn't be in the lounge in the first place, you idiots!
