Well considering I was headed to a lunch with one of the highest ranking partners in our NYC office I thought it would be tacky to walk around town with him in flip flops and dress pants. That I would consider a career limiting move. My current project is extremely male dominated, but thankfully they "get" southern women and understand chivalry. They all know that they walk on the subway grates and I walk on the pavement. They just instinctively switch sides walking down the street if they see the subway grate coming up on my side.
