I agree with the underlying sentiment in this thread. Crowne Plazas are significantly better than most Holiday Inns. They are still a rung below higher end properties though. For example, you won't find a concierge in any CP's in the States (at least that I'm aware of).

One of my favorite aspects of CP's is the bedding. Very comfy sheets and pillows.

I hate the d*mned alarm clocks though. You gotta be a rocket scientist to set the alarm for 6:00 AM.
