I am not certain that this is applicable, but....
We had a two bedroom apartment reserved at Grande Vista for four nights, with in-laws arriving one night before us. In our absence, our in-laws (whose name was also on the reservation) were advised that the rate for the first night would be changed from the Owner Rate to the lowest available rate, since the "Owners" did not present themelves, nor were available at check-in. We checked-in one day later, with no knowledge of this, and when asked how our flight was, we were advised of the rate change for the first night.
We did not refute the rate change.
