What will be the redemption rates for UAL once SAA is in Star Alliance?

I travel to South Africa once a year and the Delta - SAA hook up was terrible..... Few seats for Skymiles memebers and then there was no way to upgrade from coach to business, only outright full redemption in C.

Hopefully United and Star Alliance will inprove that situation.

Any news?
