All of this is nothing more than posturing. I would hope that you would see through that.
If there is a strike expect delays and cancelation.
Anyone buying a ticket for the second half of August is taking a chance. If you really need to fly buy CO or DL. You would be a fool not tho do that. BTW, if NW sees a drop in ticket sales in the next few days/weeks you can bet that they will negotiate that much faster!
