Question Hearing alarms from the cockpit

It always startles me when the pilot, going through some pre-flight checklist, presses a button and I hear an automated voice warning of "wind sheer".

Sunday was the first time I ever heard a warning from the cockpit during a flight. We were moments away from landing when I heard a "whoop whoop" followed by an automated female voice whose words I could not make out. Seconds later, I heard a male voice saying, "30 ... 20 ... 10" and we landed.
We were at the end of the runway by the time the aircraft had decelerated. I'm wondering if the warning was that we were too high on approach.

Anyone know?

Edited to add: the aircraft was a DL 737-200, if that matters or helps.
