I'd like to rent a phone for use during an upcoming one-week stay in Bangkok. Are they available at the airport or downtown? Any recommendations?

I got an offer for a "free" phone rental from PlanetFone.com, but the added charges (some of which you learn only after you get the phone, like a "cancellation fee") make it look like a bad deal.
