Get a second Mileage Plus Platinum VISA (I did). You'll get a second set of 5,000 EQMs for signing up ^ . You hubby could be another two M+ Platinum VISA cards for a cool 10,000 EQMs signing bonus.

You could spend at least $35,000 on the M+ Platinum VISA by the end of 2005 and get another 5,000 EQMs. Caveat: I do not know when they post these 5,000 EQMs so you better be certain that they post well before 31 DEC 05 so that you are 1K in UA's system come January 1, 2006 in order to get your 6 SWUs. Based on what I've read on FT, if your status is not 1K as of 12/31, you may not get your 6 SWUs at the beginning of next year. More senior FT'ers will be certain to correct me if I am wrong.
