I had a similar experience with no heat in my room, and the only thing that was offered was free breakfast the next morning. I was moved once and that room heat wasn't working either (very cold night, on top floor, etc.) This was at HR Cincy, and I had to be specific about what I wanted. When I complained again, and the offer was for a free night, I advised this was a biz trip and it would be more diff to explain to my er why I was turning in exp report less a room charge. So I asked for the equiv. amount of GP points for that hotel, which in this case is 8,000 pts. It took some time for it to post, and I had to follow-up several times, but I got it.
