I rode on the new seats earlier in the year EWR-NRT. Pitch remains the same (at least it felt the same), which is bad because they recline further, and you effectively lose the space of the seat in front of you. Another thing (at least to me, I'm not that wide) is that I felt the seat was noticeably wider than the old kind. I found that to be a nice plus.

Overall, it is an improvement, but nothing to write home about.
