Marseille is great fun, truly one of my favorite cities in the world! Great food, lovely and friendly locals, with a real colorful Mediterranean flavor. It's not as fun as Paris, of course, but there are a handful or two of venues for any type of fun you're in the mood for. Right next to the local bourse near the port is a discreet bar/club with obligatory darkroom, and of course, I can't recall the name (naturally, because I'm trying to remember it - ), but Spartacus is a good source of info - that's where I got my pointers prior to my first visit. Also, if you find a bar or other gay gathering place there, remember the gay tourist's rule of thumb: look for the local *** rag - it's in French, but hopefully, you can find your way around from the maps, etc. I'll get back to you on names and addresses (Finally!
