Contrary to their own rules? Your identity must not be a mystery to them and PC just wanted to make you happy so you'd report positively on your stay. But the T&C are clear. And I think quite fair.
To the OP: Did you not negotiate the details before hand? If I was going to spend that much money at a property, I'd be in touch with the manager and know exactly what I was getting, PC points and all. And I'd have read the T&C. I realize you're upset and were looking for "Instant PC Platinum" from this event, but it doesn't work that way, so temper your disappointment accordingly.
