I actually looked up the definition of red eye on line before I had posted this flight cause I wasnt sure either, the definition I kept coming up with is any flight that departs between 9pm and 5am.
That's interesting, although, I can't say a flight that departs at 9PM and arrives its destination a little after 11pm could be called a red-eye.
