Then they should stop calling this "first class" service. For all the knocking of WN, AA's service on many of its routes is not nearly as good as WN. So, if you want to emulate WN on something, do it on their ability to cherry-pick routes -- if you can operate a profitable F cabin on ONT-DFW (OP did not say what his routing was), then don't offer it. If DL (arguably the worst run airline operating, IMO) can manage to make a successful hybrid (no first class, but with a legacy carrier loyalty program) carrier with Song, why can't AA?
