Is it me or has anyone else noticed the deterioration in the "service" at T4 and T1 immigration halls over the past months? I was passing through T4 2 weeks ago on my way back from BRU. Immigration was a nightmare and in particular the worst offender was the EU line! They had 1 desk on, the line was long and a 20 min wait with an ever increasing queue. Finally they opened another desk and the everyone cheered. The manager seemed unconcerned and said - "well its not my fault if I dont have enough staff". Most people were saying that is was a shocking "welcome to Britain".

T1 immigration - well its slightly better after the revamp, but even here can be a nightmare somedays - with the EU queues far outstripping the Non EU queues.

I dont question why they are scanning everyones passport, but for gods sake someone give them the resources (people) to do it properly. Also surely as T4 and T1 are mainly BA, they must be concerned how long it takes for their passengers to get through the terminal after they have left the plane....maybe??
