Thanks, jpatokal. I was thinking more in terms of acquiring Star Alliance miles that might somehow be applied to a future TG flight. I don't know if this a very practical idea. All my prior experience has been in using my Citibank AAdvantage card to acquire miles on AA, so it was a fairly simple process, but I'm a novice at this airline alliance biz.
