Id say cynical. I don't think I've ever met a website owner (Randy) that cares so much about his customers (us). This is a guy that pumps 1000's of his own money into the site and in the past has always done anything he can to make us happy.

Really, I don't smell any kind of conspiracy here, there is no way Randy is pulling this so he can "force" us to move to the paid version...
