I would say they know your status in FC or coach and on partner airlines. I was flying on a Delta Connection flight (ASA Canadair rj), when the FA came back to the exit row and asked me what I wanted to drink after takeoff and what kind of little snack I would like. I was almost speechless. She asked only one other person on the flight those same questions. Since he was sitting across the aisle from me, I asked him what gives? He asked me are you medallion level on Delta? I said no, but I'm gold elite on NW. That must have been it. ^
