That is actually the most workable solution I have heard. I would have to get a PCMCIA reader for my desktop machine, but that's do-able. Thanks for the suggestion.

Of course, about the time I invest in the PCMCIA hardware, there will be a 5 GB flash drive available.

An additional comment: yesterday, I saw a 4GB flash drive advertised. And it's only $900! I think I'll wait a while. In a year, it'll be down to $100 or so.
