I'm sorry to hear your bad experience with AI. I never flown AI on international flight, and after reading some bad reports in FT... I don't plan to fly AI at all in the future.

I used to fly AI domestic once a couple years ago, but did not encounter any issues. Maybe I was just plain lucky... or it could be that their problems are more obvious in international long-haul flights.

Better stick to LH or SQ for your future flights. At least you'll get peace of mind. Flights are on time. Luggages are safe. Flown with SQ so much, I only experienced late baggage once... and it was not due to SQ's mistake. Another passenger took it mistakenly but then SQ called her and she returned it to the airport right away. It was only late for 2 hours --- but we got $120 cash from SQ, and we can see that the staffs are very responsive to handle our problem.
