I think it is very unfair of you to add more guilt to a dog owner who is obviously grieving and questioning her decision to fly the dogs, and I'm not sure of the correlation between her disaster and packing meat in a suitcase.
I didnt say CO wasnt at fault, it was they never should have transported the dogs!

But it was the Dog owners who decide to fly with them, in hot weather!

As for the meat if all goes well even in Hot weather I should be able to get the frozen meat to my final destination without it having been defrosted. During the winter its never a problem, during the summer I cant count on no delays and thus I have to assume it will defrost. So too with any animal in the hold, I would assume that something will go wrong and we will be delayed if its hot out then one shouldnt fly with the animals.

Side issue, when it gets close to 100 here in NYC I always hear on the TV and Radio Warnings for the Elderly not to go outside as heat stroke will most likely occur. Does everyone listen, just call or go to the nearest hospital, NOPE they dont. But common sense says if youre up in age dont go out, dont exert yourself during those days when its Hot and/or Humid.

The whole episode is unfortunate. But neither side is 100% at fault and it does seem that CO has tried to reach out. Unfortunaely even CO cant bring Sasha back. Larry to get personally involved I think NOT. We just had that in NYC where a woman was told that Mayor Bloombergs tel# is listed in the phone book. So she called him (at his home) at 10pm and he said call me tommorrow at my office. She did and transferred her to someone who worked it all out. Election year.

I agree that if there are rules that carriers must follow and they didnt that they should be held accountable. And it seems CO has stepped up and dealt with it. Now Id like CO and all the others NOT allow the transport of any animals in the hold once the temp reaches a certain degree.

Id appreciate it even more if they have some feelings towards us 2 legged ones and turn on the ac if we will be sitting out there under a blazing sun, instead of letting us bake as they do.
