All the *A flights I have booked through bmi diamond club have been one-ways. All part cash, part miles and are charged at 50% of the return cost.

DC is currently a very generous programme in this respect. The emphasis being on the 'currently', who knows what changes will be made as part of the 'new business model' - nobody at the moment, not even DC themselves it seems.
