Star Alliance carriers seem to be the easiest for me to get awards, followed by OneWorld. Given Aeroflot's apparent "award redemption" headaches, I guess Aeroflot will fit in well with SkyTeam's CO (year-round) and DL (during the summer).
Star Alliance don't allow one-way flights though! And there open-jaw routing is strict!

I tried SIN-HKT HKG-SIN, this wasn't allowed since SIN-HKT had to be via BKK, and since HKG-SIN was a higer distence than HKT-BKK, it wasn't allowed
