I was pretty bummed out last night when I got to the hotel with both sides of my QCII's now broken. Found this site on a Google search, spend a happy two hours surfing the forums but didn't see the one you referenced about other's having this problem. I feel somewhat better now that I know I have company.

Meanwhile, I'd recommend electrical tape for a repair rather than some of the other options posted. Usually easy to find a roll for a $1 or so at any convenience store.

Its kind of funny that the "sponsored link" that pops up in this thread is for QCII headphone though
