The MQM's you earn will not change depending on status. They will change depending on class.
vinnmann, your examples on SM are flawed in that you included the J in the calculation.
The correct SM total for FO is 4960, for GM/PM it is 7936.
Skymiles earned = 3968 + (Silver Bonus = 3968 * 0.25 = 992) = 4960 SkyMiles
or
Skymiles earned = 3968 + (Gold/Platinum Bonus = 3968 * 1 = 3968) = 7936 SkyMiles
The MQM calculation is correct. However, it is important to note that it is based on
fare class, not necessarily class of cabin.
