I've made it from Vegas to LA in 2 1/2 hours (but wouldn't recommend it)... norm is 3 1/2-4 (5 seems a little on the high side).

But yeah, there's always cheap flights from LAX>LAS. Fridays in LAX and Sundays in LAS are also good bump days, if you're into that.
