To those who objected to my oneWorld comment:
1. It was made partly in jest/frustration
2. I've always thought the rule of alliances was "bigger is better" (even IF there is overlap between members)
3. Delta's status as a "founding member" of SkyTeam doesn't seem to count for very much anymore. Why should they stick around in an alliance that doesn't seem to value their membership?
4. As we've learned over the years at Delta, Frequent Flyer programs CAN change! I'm sure if Delta ever got serious about jumping ship to another alliance, they'd make modifications to their frequent flyer program if it were necessary.
5. Just keep in mind - who would have ever thought that Apple would begin using Intel processors? Business decisions CAN surprise you sometimes. Alliance membership IS a business decision. Remember that SQ was once in an alliance with Delta!
