I wrote Delta asking about this inequity and thought everyone would be interested in the response:
Pretty much a non-response (like I really expected anything else ) I wonder if it's time for Delta to begin shopping around for another alliance to join? How hard would it be for Delta to join oneWorld? (I suggest oneWorld only because of BA. It might be something of a stick in AF's eye if Delta were to dump France for Britian).
I understand your frustration but to be honest here, when purchasing a CRC membership (while being General, SM or GM), the terms & conditions were very clear prior to "clicking purchase" that reciprocal agreement for lounge access only takes place amoung 3 SkyTeam partners, which are CO, NW and DL. AF Lounge is NEVER on the list. I am quite surprised that as much as you fly (to justify your CRC membership purchase), you still have not made Platinum Medallion yet to receive Complimentary CRC membership and Elite Plus Status.

Delta and AF (and one other, Korean, I think) are the founders of SkyTeam Alliance. I don't see the possibility of Delta joining Oneworld or even Oneworld taking Delta into their alliance.

If it is true that NWA Club Membership has a better agreement which includes AF Lounge Access (4 partners versus 3), then next year just buy NWA Wordclub Membership (although you probably won't get the discounted rate since you are a GM for DL, not GE for NW). And in my opinion, you didn't miss much anyway for not being able to use CDG AF Lounge. I barely ever find any descent AF lounges....
