The AA supervisor in London was very cordial. He stated that he understood many people booked this for the miles and he would extend the opportunity to receive miles (as if flown) and refund the money paid.

Within minutes of accepting this generous offer, my itinerary was removed on aa.com although the record locator is still showing. He made notes in my PNR and said that the money would be back on my credit card in two weeks.

I was floored to say the least.

The miles will post a few days after the flights; it will seem as though I was actually on all seven aircraft that weekend.

Obviously, AA thinks they can sell my seats for more than $9 per flight. However it wasn’t just my flights. I was leaving from MAN. Others that were presented with the option were leaving from EDI, LHR, LGW, GLA, etc.

As I stated in my previous post, I may be one of the few to ever reach EXP from the ground. On August 26th, I will become an EXP shortly after take off, but I hope to be at the beach here in Tallinn.

Thanks AA!
