Thanks V-J. I'd wondered if it had something to do with cross border traffic and now I know that's EXACTLY what it is. An unrelated question : Is it easier to drive to MTY from MFE than LRD? I'd always gone through LRD. I never knew there was an autopista cuota from MFE as well! As far as the one from LRD, I'd always thought that road was unpatrolled. Found out the hard way that it IS patrolled when I flew past a patrolla at 220 KM/H.
