The hotel is technically "on the beach" although a large pond (A-bay) separates the hotel from the beach. However it is a short walk via paved path through fish ponds to the beach (less than 5 minutes). The Hilton which is just down the road doesn't have any beach at all and their guests are advised to take a short 15 minute walk to the Marriott beach if they want sand.
