I think by this time people should understand that the "research" done by the OP is highly flawed, as explained by various FTers.
Unless CO's now pushing hard into the African market, and need to free up all its long-haul planes to do EWR-Congo/Niger/Chad/Cameroon...
Or maybe since most of the cuts are from EWR, CO may be shutting down that hub to concentrate on CLE or reopen its hub in DEN.
Or maybe they think instead of concentrating on international routes, they'll take Southwest head-on and do Houston-Dallas with hourly 777s. Gosh, people will love the IFE in that market.
