You may want to post in the travel forum for BOSTON. You may be able to get more information. As far as Woburn, I definitely would not consider this a 'beautiful city'
It's fine - another suburb. Boston itself is wonderful. I guess that if it were me I would rather stay downtown Boston for my jumping point (not have to worry about transportation) especially if this is my first time to Boston. There is so much to do from downtown and the hassle factor of getting in there every day would become weary quick/fast imo.
