Thanks Jabez for pulling up the reference material and everyone for giving some input. La Guidecca is actually a bit south of Venice, although still part of the entire group of canals. Just no bridges from La Guidecca to the main group of Venice.

No wonder they are talking about building a tunnel.

Well if they ever get this place built, it may be in time for a good honeymoon destination (420K+ HHonors points to spend somewhere... not to mention 916K+ AAdvantage miles). ^
