Why not use the plane to go somewhere else to pick up more passengers (i.e. HKG, DPS, KUL, BKK, SGN, etc)?
The plane sits in SIN for 7 hours overnight. Since it's an international flight, you wouldn't even really be able to turn the plane quickly enough to go anywhere meaningful (much less be able to find passengers willing to go on short segments in the middle of the night).
