That pretty much seals the deal, man. Believe me I don't fly JetBlue either, but when it's the obvious option for a less than hour connector flight to your C class deal, you gotta go for it. Use them to your advantage! It's close to impossible for them to lose your bags from SYR-JFK, so don't worry about that...
You can use the AirTrain to get from T6 to T7, or just walk! you've got the extra time...
