We did a NW NRT trip recently on the upper deck of a 747-200, which is said to be more spcious than on the -400,s, so check which bord you're booking onto.

In any event, the 200 upper deck seats are very spacious and comfortable, though I would not say the in flight catering is anywhere close to CX J or even to AA J.
