And you didn't have to buy a travel certificate from thankyouredemption.com before you called Global Impact, but you were able to check flight availability before they deducted any points from you? That's good news.
The Global Impact people can see your TY point balance and deduct from it themselves. So there's no need to either order a cert from the web site or from the 877-7REDEEM number.
The thing is, on my statement, I had 23k purchase points and 30k flight points, and it says total redeemable points = 53k. Yours doesn't? And if you go to thankyouredemptions.com, what does it say for your total redeemable points? Mine has always said purchase points + flight points even after my flight points exceeded my purchase points. Perhaps there's a bug in their system for me?
