I know it's a waste and my heart is bleeding, but I get an eco ticket paid by my employer for relocation to good old Germany and I just can't stand sitting in the back on an overnight transatlantic flight. In the meantime, I found a LH V-fare which was only a couple of $ more expensive than the UA and still within budget and got my upgrade. Only thing that still can go wrong is that they don't have new business on LH 411 on my travel date.
