Can using a charge card hurt your credit? I too am a student, just got a student AMEX, but am an additional cardholder on my parents plat charge card account. I did a credit check and the card showed as a $25k balance and $0 credit limit. I think $25k was our largest bill since we got the card, but we have a perfect payment history (the report shows that).
